Dear Wonderland Spiegeltent Friends and Family,

Well, if anything was going to put a Wonderland Spiegeltent show on pause, a global virus crisis is definitely something we didn’t expect! But here we are.

Due to current events, Wonderland Spiegeltent have decided to postpone our shows in North Queensland as part of Port Douglas Carnivale until further notice. We feel it’s the right and most responsible thing to do in order to do our little bit in taking care of each other in suppressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Above everything, the safety of our performers, crew and audiences are of utmost importance.

We have decided to take this time to regroup and finely tune our current shows, and also work on getting a few other little surprises locked away for you when we do eventually pick up our touring schedule once more. We are very optimistic that this little downtime will be good for the planet and good for all of us, so don’t despair! We see this time as an opportunity to grow and adapt – as the old saying goes, ‘Out of a global viral pandemic comes brilliant circus, cabaret and creativity!’. Or something like that…

Our team will be active in answering all questions you have through email, phone and social media platforms. We’ll be taking some time out to breathe, and we encourage you all to do the same. We believe this is the planet’s time to heal, and it’s time for us to authentically live the things that are most important to us as humans. Read books, play games, sing, dance, learn to hula hoop – who knows what beauty and skills you’ll discover?

While our velvet curtains may be closed for a little while, know that we are all global citizens and we’re in this together. Oh, what stories we’ll tell when the curtains re-open!

May you still keep dancing, and we’ll see you soon.
